John Acton
Rothamsted Conference Centre, Harpenden, AL5 2JQ

Chair: John Acton

John has 30 years’ experience of working within global organisations. As the Executive Vice President of the global DPD Group, John was instrumental in driving five consecutive years of triple market growth in international business.

With a natural passion and enthusiasm for strategy, innovation and disruption, he is well placed to support other business leaders in the formulation of their strategic thinking and innovation.

Throughout his successful career, John has had numerous opportunities to work with each of the major consultancies. One consultancy stood apart from the others, Decision Processes International (DPI) – possibly the best kept secret in Europe. John worked closely with DPI during 2005, 2008 and again in 2011. DPI’s involvement was critical in reshaping the strategic thinking and direction of DPD and resulted in the creation of three tipping points that transformed the vision and success of the business. Having been a client of this consultancy, when leaving DPD in 2012, an opportunity to forge a relationship with DPI presented itself to John and he is now the Managing Partner for DPI Europe.
