Chair: Jeremy Old
Jeremy Old is chair for the New Forest Peer2Peer board. He sees this as an exciting opportunity to help small businesses transform their productivity and profits whilst at the same time keeping a healthy work life balance.
Qualified to MBA level with a post graduate diploma in psychotherapy, Jeremy has twenty-five year’s experience helping small-business leaders improve their profitability in a wide range of industry sectors from manufacturing to a variety of business and health care services.
Jeremy achieves consistently successful results through a unique blend of team planning, applied psychology and systems thinking, as well as his own infectious enthusiasm for improving everything in a business, everywhere, all at the same time. Key benefits are the rapid speed with which the teams achieve results, and the exceptional and widespread employee engagement. His team planning methods also tend to take the stress out of major business transformations, turnarounds, and high growth trajectories.
Long experience and personal research into systems thinking, and the neuroscience of leadership have led Jeremy to write “Reinventing management thinking – Using science to liberate the human spirit”. In this book Jeremy dispels a number of common misconceptions about leadership including how leaders often unwittingly demotivate their staff and provoke unnecessary costs and why, as a result, their organisations underperform. In essence the book reveals how to work with innate human needs to liberate employee energy, creativity, loyalty, commitment and focus, to create a high-performance work culture.
